Data use and retention

Privacy

A plain-language overview of site analytics, contact information, and the data this educational site does not need.

Browsing and measurement

The public evidence pages are static. The site may use configured analytics to understand page visits, search performance, and engagement. Analytics should be configured to collect the minimum information needed for site improvement.

  • Do not submit patient or personal health information.
  • Search terms entered on the site should be treated as ordinary website activity, not a clinical record.
  • Third-party source links follow the privacy practices of their own operators.

Contact messages

When the protected contact service is enabled, it may store your name, email address, subject, message, consent time, and the page from which you wrote. A one-way IP hash may be used for abuse prevention; raw IP addresses are not part of the contact-submission model.

  • Contact data is not included in public database exports.
  • Messages are used to respond, investigate corrections, and manage legitimate enquiries.
  • Deletion or access requests can be submitted through the same contact route.

No clinical relationship

Using this site or sending a message does not create a clinician-patient relationship. Do not use the site for emergencies, diagnosis, or patient-specific treatment decisions.
